Sustainability Workshop Scholarships

We fund Greater Cincinnati advocates to attend global sustainability workshops. Our scholarships cover all costs - travel, lodging, and registration fees. Participants learn from industry leaders at events in cities like Portland and Copenhagen, focusing on environmental justice, sustainability, and transit solutions.

IBPI Study Abroad: Sustainable Transportation in Denmark - June 21 - July 5, 2025 - Application deadline: March 1, 2025 - Portland State University presents an introduction to sustainable transportation and land use applications in the context of Denmark through a two-week study abroad program.

NACTO Designing Cities in Washington DC - May 28 - May 31, 2025 - Application deadline: April 1, 2025 - The annual NACTO Designing Cities Conference brings together over 1,000 people passionate about advancing the state of transportation in North American cities—engineers, planners, government agency leaders, elected officials, advocates, and other transportation professionals of all career levels.

TransportationCamp in Philadelphia - March 22, 2025 - TransportationCamp brings together thinkers and doers in the fields of transportation & technology. TransportationCamp is a series of decentralized unconferences held throughout the world, where people of all backgrounds meet to discuss transportation-related topics. Each one is organized independently by their own local organizing committee, and may be held in conjunction with a larger conference or event. It brings together students, transportation professionals, technologists, and others interested in the intersection of urban transportation and technology.

Communities Over Highways Summit in Minneapolis - April 23 - April 26, 2025 - Hosted by America Walks and Our Streets MN. Meet fellow advocates, share experiences, and collectively develop strategies that convince federal, state, and local governments to end policies supporting highways that damage communities.

IBPI Bikeway Design in Portland, OR - Aug 25–29, 2025 - Hosted by Portland State University. Designed for transportation engineers, urban planners, advocates, policymakers, municipal staff and other transportation professionals interested in nurturing cycling in their communities.
